What is making the current experience feel unintuitive

The structure is hidden behind individual screens

  1. 01 The lab starts too close. It opens inside one screen before the user understands the full lifecycle.
  2. 02 Navigation has competing scopes. Persona, journey, step, state, and inspection controls all demand attention at once.
  3. 03 Cross-role handoffs are invisible. Submission, review, launch, participation, and closeout look like separate products.
  4. 04 The prototype over-promises functionality. At least 39 researcher and reviewer controls have no specific behavior, while participant safeguards and outer navigation do not consistently gate progression.
  5. 05 The participant journey mixes different kinds of things. Voice and privacy are utilities, completion is a state, yet all are presented as equivalent sequential steps.
  6. 06 A long-lived service is modelled as one wizard. Study creation, formal review, live operations, and closeout need durable workspaces and queues, not one Next-button sequence.
